I just wrapped my FINAL three day event that I will deliver. When we initially planned out this year, and even when we started our promotion for results unleashed that just happened last week, I had no idea it was going to be my last one period then, around August 1st, I got a very clear message that this was going to be my last one. 2025 has been an interesting year, and I’ve had many conversations with friends of mine about how I’m feeling and what’s going on. And then at the ICON conference with eWomenNetwork, Sandra Yancey talked about it being the year of the snake. And if we think about a snake, what does it do for renewal? It sheds its skin. This topic of the year of the snake has come up a few times with friends of mine. And it explains a lot about what I’ve been feeling. Coming into 2026, I feel like a lot of changes are going to be happening for me and my business. And this all is starting with the end of my results unleashed event.
All of these musings have me thinking about how this could apply to all of you who read my newsletter. I talked a lot at my event about as long as we keep doing things the same, things will stay the same. And as long as we don’t do anything differently, nothing will be different. My business has gone through many iterations over the last 10 years. I have never stopped listening to my clients, my mentors, and my gut. Sometimes it’s time to stop pushing on something that isn’t working or isn’t bringing you money or doesn’t feel right and it’s time to start looking at how to do it differently. That is how this three day event evolved out of 1/2 day workshop which also then turned into a six month program. I’ve watched many of my mentors and coaches go through many iterations of their programs and how they collect money and how they charge and who they serve and what they offer.
As we finish out this year of the snake, I would love for you to consider what it’s time for you to shed so that you can step into something brand new or a new iteration of something old. Here are some things to consider:
- What no longer brings you joy? If there’s something that makes you feel tired or drains your energy, how can you do it differently so that it feeds you? I shifted how I deliver my six month program two years ago which breathed fresh air into me and the program.
- What are your clients or customers asking for? Sometimes we are so stuck in our ways and going about our business with blinders on, that we’re not listening to what people need. And we’re not shifting our messaging or what we’re offering. So consider what you might do differently in order to serve people where they are and with what they’re asking for.
- What is your gut telling you? Listen! There are messages everywhere for us to pay attention to, and that includes your gut.
The beauty of this message this month is that I have watched many of you making shifts this year—Yes, I SEE you on socials, and I am paying attention. Step into what is serving you and what is or will serve your business and clients. Be happy. Be joyful.
Here’s a great Medium article regarding the Year of the Snake and business.
